Welcome to the new Color Irondequoit Green, blog, CIG Community Voices!

As our organization has grown, so too have the number of projects, events, partnerships, and conversations taking place throughout the community. We created this blog as a place to share those stories, highlight local sustainability efforts, and provide updates on the work being done by Color Irondequoit Green and its affiliated initiatives.

Our goal is to add one blog post each month featuring a different member of our team reflecting on a topic they care about. Posts may explore local environmental issues, sustainable living, safer streets, native plants, climate solutions, volunteer experiences, or showcase photographs or art.

This blog will be one part of our website's new News section, which is intended to serve as a central hub for updates, announcements, and organizational news, though for now, the blog is the only live subsection. Over time, the News section will help us share information in greater depth, while moving to keep our newsletter more concise and focused on the most important highlights and upcoming opportunities.

This blog is intended to reflect one of Color Irondequoit Green's core strengths: the knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm of the people who make up our community. By featuring a variety of voices, we hope to spark new ideas, share useful information, and encourage more Irondequoit residents to get involved in creating a healthier, more sustainable, and more connected Irondequoit.
